July 23, 2013--Sanofi Pasteur has announced that it has a factory ready to start producing the world's first dengue vaccine once it is ready. Though the company is still waiting for results of a Phase 3 clinical trial being carried out across 10 countries, it began preparation for vaccine production already in 2009 with a 300-million euro investment. According to the article, once the vaccine is ready, the plant will be able to produce more than 100 million commercial doses of dengue vaccine per year.
