July 29, 2013 -- Researchers released data on Thursday that indicates Haemophilus influenzae type b is having a large impact in developing countries.

The research, carried out by 115 researchers in seven different countries over an eight year period, showed that the Hib vaccine is having a large impact on countries in Asia and Eastern Europe.

July 24, 2013--A unique IT tool, which uses a cluster technique in data mining, the Self Oragnizing Map (SOM), has been developed to control and reduce the outbreak of mosquito-borne illnesses in India. It has been validated, and approved for implementation in five states: Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Assam and Mizoram.
