The aim of this workshop is to strengthen in-country capacity on:
Participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will share country progress on implementing Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) improvement plans and review WHO guidance, tools and new technology to strengthen vaccine management.
Vaccine management challenges
Immunization programmes in these countries are challenged by the dynamic implementation of new vaccines, expansion of immunization to adolescents, adults and special risk groups and at the same time by growing public concern related to the quality and safety of administered vaccines and by resistance to vaccination.
